Heggie’s Estate Eden Valley Riesling
Riesling was the foundation variety of Heggies Vineyard with the original plantings dating back to 1975. Thin gravel soils, limited water and vine age ensure crop levels at Heggies Vineyard are moderate, producing wines with characteristic quartz-like precision and the ability to age gracefully. The combination of cool climate and altitude provide the perfect conditions for producing the distinctive, beautifully structured and balanced Riesling for which the Eden Valley region has become synonymous.
This is an Eden Valley classic. The terroir of Heggies is evident in the Riesling; the wine has a strong mineral character from the quartz, which forms the underbed of the vineyard.
