Hardys HRB Bin D681 Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
HRB stands for ‘Heritage Reserve Bin’ and is attached by Hardys to wines made by blending components from mature vineyards around the country to which its winemakers have access.
This multi-regional, multi-vineyard approach yields wines of exceptional quality although it runs counter to Old World-derived notions of ‘terroir’ and individual ‘distinguished sites’ as sources of the finest wines. There is room for both approaches. The makeup of this Cabernet varies from year to year but typically includes grapes from vineyards in Western Australia (Margaret River and Great Southern) and South Australia (Coonawarra).
