Our Basket Pressed Grenache is plush and pretty and pairs beautifully with food.
Planted on the Eastern facing slope below the winery, our Grenache enjoys a sunny aspect, often tempered by a cooling afternoon breeze. The sandier soil beneath this block enhances the floral aromatics and produces the fine powdery tannin structure. Fermented in the original open top fermenters and basket pressed, the Grenache spends a short time in seasoned French oak puncheons.
The result is an elegant, juicy Grenache in a bright and expressive style. Gentle tannins and a fleshy palate give a soft and generous mouth feel.

Nose:
Spicy dark raspberry and liquorice scents fill the nostrils, vanillin earth and subtle pepper notes.
Palate:
Rich juicy dark raspberry, liquorice and dark to black cherry fruits swamp the mouth. Vanillin confectionary, subtle earth and spice elements the undercard. Excellent intensity with velvet smooth tannins and a lush, opulent feel. Concludes long, succulent and spicy.
