Glaetzer-Dixon Wines Avancé Tasmanian Pinot Noir

Winemaker Nick Glaetzer has transformed an old ice factory on the edge of Hobart’s CBD into Tasmania’s first urban winery and tasting room. A fifth generation vigneron hailing from the Barossa Valley, Nick moved to Tasmania in 2005. With Glaetzer-Dixon he has won the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy and Gourmet Traveller’s Young Winemaker of the Year award.

This wine is bright with cherry and raspberry aromas leading to a palate rich in fresh mixed red berries, supported by subtle toasty oak and smoky notes. Silky tannins and balanced acidity create a long, elegant finish with gentle spice and a fine chalky texture. It’s a confident, fruit-driven Pinot with excellent value and youthful vibrancy.
