Font Du Vent Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2020
Formerly knows as Domaine Font de Michelle, Font du Vent owns 27 hectares of vines in the Chateauneuf region.
Like many estates, the soils and terroirs are spread-out and varied, with different soils. Their best land is situated on the famous La Crau plateau. They have a south east facing terroir with rocks, stone, clay and limestone soils. However, their vineyards are widely dispersed throughout the appellation.
The vineyards are farmed using organic farming techniques.
Like many producers, Font du Vent's 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Tradition has relatively more Mourvèdre and Syrah in it than usual, as Grenache is more susceptible to mildew.
