Daniel Bouland Morgon “Bellevue Cailloux” 2021
Great textural Beaujolais from Daniel Bouland, the mild-mannered man of Morgon. Bellevue is a lieu-dit (named vineyard) within the climat of Corcelette that he now bottles separately to the main Corcelette wines.
Super stony site, hence the ‘cailloux’, meaning small rocks of pebbles, and this rockiness shines through.
Wild strawberries and wild herbs aromas and an alpine freshness across the nose and palate, which is full of dense, succulent red and black fruits. So lifted and crunchy, with so much gravitas and depth.
