Beaurenard Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2018

Domaine de Beaurenard is located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Rhône. It has been a family estate for 7 generations, now run by brothers Daniel and Frédéric Coulon . The vineyard covers 32 hectares in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, 25 hectares in Rasteau and 6 hectares in Côtes-du-Rhône. They cultivate the 13 grape varieties authorized for the AOC, and the average age of the vines is around 45 years. The entire vineyard is managed using certified organic farming , and also cultivated using certified biodynamic methods . The grapes, harvested manually at optimal maturity, are transported to the winery in small crates to avoid crushing the grapes, which would cause oxidation that would be detrimental to quality.
