Yarra Yering Dry Red No.1 2017
The Yarra Yering Dry Red No.1 is comprised of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with small parcels of Malbec and Petit Verdot from one of the great sites of the Yarra Valley.
The individual parcels are fermented in small open-top tea-chest fermenters, the final blend crafted to showcase each individual season on this iconic Yarra Valley estate.
This is a glorious wine, a benchmark of the famous Yarra Valley Cabernet wine style.
It’s a wine destined for great things. The 2017 is an excellent vintage for more robust red wines. Winemaker Sarah Crowe knocked this out of the park. It should be an essential part of any serious Australian cellar.

Fruit power is the first impression, dark berry fruits and some sage adding a background herbal lift. Oak spice is evident but all in balance with the fruit.
