Leeuwin Estate is one of the founding wineries of the now famous Margaret River district.
In 1972, legendary Napa Valley winemaker, Robert Mondavi, first identified the future site of the Leeuwin vineyard as being ideal for the production of premium wine and provided early mentorship to Denis and Tricia Horgan who founded Leeuwin Estate in 1974. The initial vineyards were planted by hand over a five year period from 1975.

Nose:
Delicate and restrained, the nose exhibits nashi pear, cut limes and white peach; interwoven layers of sesame, pecans, wheat biscuits and nougat, nurtures the primary fruits. Heightened floral notes of jasmine and lemon blossom lifts the nose giving fragrance, purity and subtle complexity.
Palate:
The palate is directed and focused; symmetry aligns around lemon, grapefruit and pear skin, through creamy oak, blanched almonds and sweet spice, leading to a finish that is hallmarked by bright natural acidity with incredible length and persistence.
