Allegrini Agricola Valpolicella DOC

Located in Fumane di Valpolicella, the Allegrini family have been producing wine in the region since 1557 and today tend around 70 hectares of vines in the communes of Fumane, Sant’ Ambrogio and San Pietro, all situated within the Valpolicella Classico
DOC.

The Allegrini range includes Valpolicella, Amarone and Recioto as well as the single vineyard wines, La Grola made from Corvina, Rondinella, Syrah and Sangiovese and La Poja produced from just Corvina. Work in both the vineyard and winery is meticulous. Allegrini are considered to be one of the regions, and Italy’s finest producers.

Nose:

Ruby red in color, with purplish-blue highlights, this wine offers up classic qualities of Corvina, the historic grape variety of the appellation. The fragrant nose is filled with red fruit and aromatic herbs, and the wine’s flavors echo the nose, led by prominent notes of cherries with fresh hints of pepper and more herbs.

Palate:

This young wine is distinctly lively and playful on the palate, while maintaining great elegance and finesse.
