From Moppity's expansive and beautiful vineyards at around 650m in altitude comes this wonderfull deep and impressive wine, particularly noting the price point.
Certainly powerful and intense, it veers on the side of spicy and savoury rather than the jammy and syrupy. Plums, dark cherries, some aniseed and licorice, along with a spicy, earthy side that shows up the long finish especially.
Just a little Viognier is in the mix, adding colour and aromatics to a simply excellent mid-range red.
