Antinori Pian delle Vigne Brunello Di Montalcino

The Pian delle Vigne Estate is located 6 km south of Montalcino, above Val d'Orcia, and takes its name from a historical railroad station which dates back to the XIXth century and is located on the estate. The estate covers 180 hectares, approximately 65 of which are cultivated with vineyards which mostly face south-east and are situated at an altitude of between 130 and 200 meters above sea level. The terrain is predominantly composed of clay and calcareous soil, and is full of small stones. The Brunello di Montalcino is made exclusively with Sangiovese grapes (known in Montalcino as "Brunello").
