Fraser Gallop Palladian Chardonnay 2020

“Established in 1999, Fraser Gallop Estate is at the heart of Margaret River’s Wilyabrup valley (20km) north of the town of Margaret River and six kilometres from the southwest coast of Western Australia. The Estate enjoys splendid isolation and a moderate maritime climate created by the Indian Ocean to the north and west.

The vineyard of Fraser Gallop Estate features undulating topography and gravelly laterite loams over clay subsoil providing the ideal conditions in which to grow Bordeaux and Burgundy grape varieties. The unique location, geography and climate conditions combine to imbue the colour, flavours and aromas found only in our wines.” – Fraser Gallop Estate.

“So much going on here, from hazelnuts, lemon curd, salted caramel and baked apples to toasted brioche on the nose. It’s full-bodied, buttery and delicious, with lively, bright acidity. Intense. I like the salty caramel undertones on the long and sophisticated finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap.” – James Suckling, 96 pts

Nose:

Cumquat/lemon, green apple, struck match, nougat, wet river stones. Saline, crystalline lemon focus with a citrus zing. The toasty oak is present but not overdone. A lovely flinty quartz like dryness offset by a touch of sweetness. Salivating. Great balance and set up for the long haul.

Varietal Composition:
